In November, our Gracewood staff went to Family Pathways Thrift Store to help get ready for the Holiday Season. Our team filled tons of shelves and put together 23 trees! Family Pathways supports our local food shelf, women’s refuge and also programs for shut in seniors.
The Christmas party at Gracewood of Hugo was the first weekend in December. Many family members came to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. We had a wonderful meal prepared by our chefs. Piano, flute and guitar music was played during dinner by Sonda Jacobson and Scott Snider. They lead us in a sing-a-long after dinner. Santa Claus also made a special appearance and was available for many photo opportunities. It was a very festive evening.
The residents of Hugo made cute reindeer shirts for the Christmas season. The residents sat together one afternoon to get a group picture of everyone in their shirt.
Gracewood of Hugo staff and residents had a surprise baby shower for Katelyn, a caregiver at Gracewood. We surprised Katelyn with gifts and treats. We knew Katelyn was having a boy so we decorated with baby blue and we even had sugar cookies with blue frosting. It was a fun afternoon.
