Comforts of Home of Chippewa Falls-Fall Family Picnic

Residents, tenants, families, friends and staff enjoyed our Fall Family Picnic October 17th. We enjoyed great food, great music from the River City Ramblers and great company. We had a great turn out as 92 attended and the weather could not have been better!

Gracewood of Hugo-Singing a variety of Music for Residents

Tony, a young man that comes to Gracewood regularly to sing to us, came twice this month.  Tony sings a variety of music from the 50’s and 60’s.  Tony is very interactive with the residents.  He dances, holds their hands, and has them sing the words to some of the songs.  Last time Tony was here, he brought glasses that lit up and had the residents try them on.

Comforts of Home-River Falls-The Gardens: Participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's

Everyone that participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's at The Deerfield in New Richmond on Saturday September 20th.  What a success that was!  Our team raised over $2500 and won an award for having the most walkers on a team.  All in all, there were over 27 teams involved and I believe we met our overall goal of raising over $40,000.  It was an amazing event with a wonderful turn-out, on a beautiful day, to support a wonderful cause.

Gracewood of North Branch-Fishing Trip

Gracewood of North Branch has been overjoyed with the blessing of nature and animals.  In August, we took a fishing trip with the Let's Go Fishing program.  We had a blast and even caught a few fish!  The weather was beautiful and we even saw an Eagle.  Sheri Oney brought one of her beautiful miniature horses for us to see and pet.  The horse even got a few hugs!
